Jennycliff Bay
Today I am going to take you to my favourite place on the outside the city of Plymouth. Jennycliff is a beautiful place along the coast which has both a beach and a bay. Jennycliff bay is lovely they have toilets and a café which was needed after the long walk. My friend bought a millionaire shortbread which looked delicious, if it was vegan I would have definitely had one.

Hooe and Radfod Lake
I have recently been exploring the area where I live whilst at university and I have become to love Plymouth and the surrounding areas. The city is such a contrast from where I live with my family so sometimes I just want to escape from the traffic and people and feel like I'm at home.
From the title of this blog you will know that the first place I am going to take you to is Hooe and Radford Lake. As you walk along the South West Coastal Path you will come across these two lakes which are separated by Radford Castle.
This is such a beautiful place to go
especially when the suns out. You can walk in a circular route which loops
round both lakes.
From Plymouth city centre to the
lake it’s around an hour walk (3.2miles) which isn't very demanding as there at no
steep hills. On the walk you will pass Morrison's, Go Outdoors and The Range
which are always handy to know about. If live near Plymouth of are vising the area I recommend visiting these lakes.

My Vegan Lifestyle
Firstly, happy Valentines Day!
As I said in my last blog post, I have recently changed my lifestyle to better myself and make the most of the time I have at university. To give you an insight into my change I am going to share with you my lifestyle in terms of health and diet. This began in 2012 when I decided to become vegetarian. When people ask me why I became a vegetarian to this day I still don't know what to say. It wasn't because of animals rights, it wasn't a health conscious choice, I believe it was because I wanted to be different and to experiment with cooking. But this just doing seem like a good enough reason to tell people.
I remember in the first week I went vegetarian, I was eating a meat sandwich at school, I had to run to the bin because I remembered I couldn't eat meat. My mum couldn't believe what she had done. I find it hilarious now. At the age of 13 I really didn't think about the future but if someone had said 'your going to be a vegetarian for 4 years then turn vegan' I would have asked, 'what's a vegan?'
In my 4th year of being a vegetarian I was introduced to veganism through YouTube videos and documentaries. After following the videos of people like Bonnyrebecca and Family Fizz I decided
I really did want to be a Vegan. However my parents were extremely sceptical and I wasn't able to respond effectively to all of my parents queries as I want educated enough. However last year when I went to university I had the time to do some more research and food shopping for myself which made the process much easier. In November 2016 I decided to do a Vegan month to see if I felt different. This went really well but for Christmas I wasn't at home so I decided to revert back to being a vegetarian to make it easier for my family to cater for me.
On the first of January I became a vegan for good, I definitely feel better from making this lifestyle change. I can see the difference mostly in my nails, they are much stronger, as well as my skin. I wore make up for several days when I was 13, but since that I haven't. My skin has always been clear but now it seems to have a glow. I also feel more educated and I can back up the way I eat with my beliefs, this is very important.
This is my healthy lifestyle and I believe this can help make me the best I can be. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask them.
Thank you for reading.

A lifestyle Change
I have just finished my 17th week at university, this is has gone by so bloody quickly. I have had some of the best times of my life and I need to do everything I can to make the most of it. Two weeks ago I went to support my flatmate who was doing a reading at her church. One of the people there said along the lines of 'you live in a wonderful area, sometimes its about escaping and exploring away from the city.' I didn't think much of this at the time but a week later when I felt homesick again I recalled what he said and decided that things have to change.
These powerful words from someone I had never met before changed my last two weeks. Some of you may think this is stupid, but for the others who understands how powerful someone's words can be then keep reading. So what happens now? I am going to make an effort to keep up with the blogs, like I said previously I really want somewhere to revisit these memories. To follow will be blogs about how I have changed my lifestyle recently and how I want to continually make myself happy.
Thank you for reading,
Bethany
