Proper Corn

I'd never had savoury popcorn before contacting Proper Corn which was one reason why I decided to contact them, the other being that popcorn is relative healthy than some other snacks.

The first thing that drew me into the popcorn was the packaging. The colours are so bright and they make the popcorn seem so more appealing, especially on the shelf. My favourite flavours were the sweet and salty, sour cream and black pepper and lightly sea salted. Starting with the sweet and salty, I LOVED this!! The mixture of complete opposite flavours really worked well together. When I first tried the sour cream and black pepper I really didn't like it, but then I carried on eating it and it grew on me, it became one of my favourite. The flavour is so strange it tasts like a dip but in popcorn haha. I didn't really enjoy the smooth popcorn and almond as it stuck to the roof of my mouth.
After trying all of these popcorns I still do prefer sweet rather then savoury.

Paleo Granola ceria

The Paleo diet is all about eating like we would have if we were the first humans on the planet. This diet includes meat, fish, vegetables avoiding dairy and cereal products.

I have heard a lot about this brand and I was excited to try it out. I had the choice of three granolas which where berry and almond, honey and pecan and cocoa and hazelnut. I chose the berry and almond, the combination of flavours came through instantly. As you can see on the picture below the granola is crammed with lots of bits with lots of textures. I found this really chewy and there was to much going on in my mouth. Even though the flavours were lovely the texture wasn't for me.

BodyMe Protein Bars

I was recently given the new BodyMe protein bars to try. I'm been out shopping a lot for uni stuff and everyone knows that when you go shopping you need a pick me up especially when you've worked out that day.

These bars are brilliant at giving you an energy boost. Normally with raw bars they are really sticky and taste sugary from all the fruit, these are different. They are firmer which means they don't make a mess in your bag. The packaging is really sturdy which shows the good quality of the bars and brand. Being gluten free, dairy free, soy free and bake free you expect the bars to not have as much flavour but they do. My favourite bar I was given was the Raw Cacao Orange which isn't in the picture because I couldn't wait to try it. Check out their website https://bodyme.co.uk/ as they have recipes and more information behind the brand.

I have always wanted to try dairy free chocolate and after contacting Moo Free chocolate I had the chance to try Choccy Drops.

These chocolate drops are amazing, I was surprised how much they tasted like dairy chocolate. They melt in the mouth and they look exactly the same. The only think is you keep going back for more! I love the brand name its so catchy and not only are they dairy free they are gluten free, soya free and vegan!
These chocolate drops are available on line dairyfreechocolates and in Waitrose on the 29th of August. I will definitely have to pick up some more.

The chia co

Being a vegetarian I'm always looking for ways to be healthy and get all of the micronutrients. I recently came across chia seeds, these superfoods have been everywhere recently and now I understand why. In the local supermarkets the brand The Chia Co is very common and I've always been intrigued to try them. After contacting them I received a lovely parcel with the oats and chia porridge with a bag of white chia seeds.
The porridge is flavoured with natural ingredients which keeps you satisfied, with the chia seeds you cant see or taste them in the porridge. This makes it a good way to try them for the first time. This porridge is so creamy even when you add water.

The packets are so handy as you could take them traveling with you. Its so convenient having a line on the sachet which directs you on how much water to use. I will definitely be buying some of these porridges and I cant wait to try more flavours.

In terms of nutritional value the chia seeds contain 6g fiber, 3g omega 3 and 3g protein per 1TBSP, this means that its the highest plant based source of these nutrients.
Its amazing considering the seeds are tiny! The brand is amazing too, after studying environmental science I understand the importance of sustainable farming and agriculture and after reading about this on there website I love the products even more. thechiaco- sustainable farming

Eat Real chips

Healthy snacks are a big thing for me, I'm always on the go and with recent traveling I'm constantly looking for something easy to eat which will make me feel great. After contacting eat real I received loads of chips to try.

They have quinoa, lentil and humus chips which are all delicious! These chips are jam packed with flavours and the wide variety they have makes trying each packet fun. These would be perfect to get children eating healthier. The packets come in two sizes which are a small bag, good to take in a day bag and also a larger bag which is good for sharing.

My three favourites are Quinoa chilli and lime, Lentil creamy dill and hummus sea salt.

Simply Cook Subscription Service

This review is of Simply Cook which is a monthly subscription service which includes four recipes and the spices and bases which are needed to create a dish. The box is flat and fits through the letterbox which ensures that you get the package easily and on time.

As I am a vegetarian I was given one vegetarian box and a meat box which I altered to make them suitable for me. The vegetarian dishes I received were Iranian vegetable stew, Bokkeumbap, Wild mushroom penne, and Spinach and paneer.

The meat dishes which I altered were Chicken tagine, Goan fish curry, Beef stroganoff and Balinese chicken.

Me and my family have tried and tested these recipes and they are all delicious! You wouldn't believe the strong flavours that these little pots hold.

The recipe cards are extremely easy to follow, they are so quick and you get a nutritious meal at the end of it. One of my favourite things about this service is the rip off section at the top of each meal card which you can take shopping, this just shows how much thought has gone into this service.
I loved these boxes and I will be buying some soon. When I do I will be ordering the Spinach and paneer, Iranian vegetable stew and Bokkeumbap as these were my favourite.

Timeless Truth Facial Mask

Timeless Truth kindly sent me a facial mask to review I chose the Bio Cellulose Bee Venom mask because of the fact it contains bee venom and is the latest in anti ageing.

After trying this mask I understand why it was given a gold beauty award for 2015. The quality of the product made it so refreshing and the serum is in a large quantity, this means it can be stored in the fridge and applied another time. I love this about the mask. It states that you can place the mask into the fridge before to make it extra refreshing, I didn't do this and it was still cool and made me feel more awake. I would definitely recommend this product as my skin feels more soft as the ingredients in the mask stimulate the production of collagen and elastin which help smooth, lift and tighten the skin.

Alberto Balsam's Shampoo

Recently I switched up my hair routine by trying Alberto Balsam's new shampoo in the sent coconut and lychee. The great thing about this product is the smell. There is a hint of coconut which isn't overpowering like some products as the lychee sent makes it smell sweeter. This shampoo leaves your hair with such a feminine delicate smell.

I usually wash my hair every other day to make sure I don't dry it out and over wash it. With this shampoo I had to unfortunately wash my hair every day, this became a problem as my hair began to feel less silky. I keep this shampoo for special occasions when I know I want to smell the sent in my hair and I have enough time to wash my hair the following day.

Aduna superfood powders

Along time ago I requested some samples from Aduna who sell superfoods in the form of powder and energy bars. I read online about the health benefits and I simply had to try them. The Moringa powder is from a superleaf, its nutrient dense packed with antioxidants. The fact that its rich in plant protein appealed to me being a vegetarian as I am always looking for more ways to keep my protein consumption up. The other superfood I was given was Baobab which is from a superfruit. This amazing powder is a rich source of vitamin C and fibre again being crammed with antioxidants.

I used the sample of Baobab in my favourite blueberry porridge, I made this about 3 times with the one sachet. With the Moringa I added it into my favourite Cacao soya milkshake. What I liked most about both of the powders was how easy and versatile they are. They also don't change the taste of the food so you can have lovely food with even more benefits!
